Abuja is the Nigerian capital city. The Nigerian capital has a population of about 405, 000 . Abuja is Nigeria's largest city and counts amongst the best cities in Africa. Abuja is one of the best African cities. In the good old days, it was also counted as one of the best world cities. It is also one of the best African city and largest African city. Abuja's geography centers on Aso Rock, a 400-meter monolith left by water erosion. The Presidential Complex, National Assembly, Supreme Court and much of Abuja extend to the south of the rock. "Aso" means "victorious" in to now displaced Asokoro ("the people of victory").
Abuja is known for being the best city in Africa as well as one of the wealthiest and most expensive. With ethnic and religious divisions of Nigeria, all decided to have capital in a neutral location. Abuja was completed in the late 1980s. Countries moved their embassies to Abuja and maintained their larger old embassies as consulates in Lagos. Abuja is headquarter of Economic Community of West African States or ECOWAS, as well as Military arm, ECOMOG. It has the regional headquarters of OPEC too. Abuja and the Federal Capital Territory have experienced a huge population growth.
The city is divided into five districts of Phase1. They are Central, Asokoro, Garki, Wuse and Maitama. There are also five districts of the phase two, these are Kado, Durumi, Gudu, Utako and Jabi. Phase Three districts are: Mabuchi, Katampe, Wuye and Gwarimpa. There are also five suburban districts of Nyanya, Karu, Gwagwalada, Kubwa, and Jukwoyi. Along the airport road Lugbe, Chika, Kuchigworo and Pyakassa. Other satellite settlements are Idu Industrial Zone, Mpape, Karimu and Gwagwa, Dei-Dei. In attractions, Abuja and Nigeria has many with the more popular one being Millenium. The country's capital is one of the most modern that has successfully hosted All Africa Games.
